Rotoract and Spokane Symphony's Masquerade Ball

Save the date for Spokane Symphony's Venetian Masquerade Ball - March 10th from 8 p.m. to Midnight at the Fox.  "Creative Black Tie" is the dress, mask required.  Tickets are typically $50/person, but we have been given the opportunity, as members of Rotoract, to volunteer for a short period of time (taking tickets, checking IDs, etc.) and get free admission to the event!  A sign-up sheet for volunteers will be available at next week's bowling event.  Don't miss out on this great opportunity!

World Rotaract Week is 4 - 11 March

World Rotaract Week is celebrated annually to commemorate the founding of the first Rotaract club in 1968. To mark the occasion, Rotaract clubs, in partnership with their sponsor Rotary clubs, are encouraged to participate in joint projects.

In the past, Rotaract clubs were required to complete specific activities and submit a form to RI in order to receive recognition for World Rotaract Week. Now, Rotarians and Rotaractors will be able to decide how to celebrate — whether it’s with one activity, two, or an entire week’s worth of activities of their choice — and they are no longer required to submit forms. The Rotary club or district Rotaract chair can simply download and complete the certificate of recognition for presentation.

Learn more about World Rotaract Week and find suggestions for projects.

The Rotaract Club of Spokane celebrates 20 years in 2011!

The Rotaract Club of Spokane was started in 1991 by Dean Merritt, a Rotary Club 21 past member. The goal of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young professional leaders, ages 18-35, to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

Rotaract has grown to be a flagship organization for the 'up and coming' leaders of Spokane. As young leaders, we place great value in providing community service to the Spokane area and are dedicated to creating a caring community for the next generation of Rotarians.
