Speaker: Linda J. Thompson, M.A., CPP, ICPS, Executive Director, Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council (GSSAC)
Unused, leftover drugs are endangering our children, our families, and are going into the water supply thus threatning our health and the environment.  Safe disposal means a secure and convenient system where residents can return leftover medications throughout Washington.  Find out how important this effort is to every one of us in our community.

Desiree will tell the club about the ownership and design of the plant located in the Tri-Cites.  She will explain how it compares the the Fukushima plant in Japan and give us an overview of nuclear plants that generate electricity around the world.
